Octopus
Making such rattles with your own hands for children will not take much free time; they are created in several evenings, which depends on the level of skill.
For one rattle you will need:
- Kinder capsule for creating a body;
- 5 balls from which the legs are made;
- several buttons for eyes;
- non-sharp elements in the form of beads and peas to create sound;
- colored threads, preferably cotton; a yarn called Iris would be a great choice;
- threads with a needle.
The capsule, as well as the balls, are filled with small rattling parts and closed as tightly as possible.
Knitting should begin with several loops, after which directly in the circle, if necessary, the shade of the yarn is changed, and the knots are tucked into the inner part.
You can keep the capsule nearby to try it on to maintain the required shape. After this, you need to gradually shorten the loops, leaving a special hole through which the capsule with the elements inside will be placed. Then the buttons are sewn in place of the eyes, and the bottom should be sewn up.
After this, you need to tie the balls with multi-colored yarn, preferably making them catchy, attracting children's eyes. They are also knitted in a circle, they are certainly tried on to an existing ball, and then sewn on. On all the balls that are tied, a special chain is knitted from the loops, to which the legs are attached.
You can arrange a rattle, made with your own hands, as in the photo for a crib; the baby will certainly be interested in rocking the hanging toys, so he will stretch his arms.
Using Kinder Surprise
A good rattle can be made from Kinder and other similar containers. The plastic egg closes tightly and is very roomy, it has a lot of space, so you can use a variety of fillings. And the main thing is the availability of the material, since any child loves such delicacies. A tiny baby will not open such a container on his own, but for safety it is still better to cover it with fabric or tie it with a hook, the main thing is that such a cover completely covers everything.

Now let's make the rattle itself, if you make a small one, then one egg is enough, just add filler to it. Now we make the decoration of the outer part or the cover. From several of these capsules you can make a more complex and larger figure, hanging toys for a bed or stroller and much more, you just need imagination and a little time.
Toys with handle
These versions of related toys are reminiscent of the creation of Octopussy, but they differ in certain elements.
For toys you will need:
- several Kinder capsules;
- two pencils;
- small rattling objects;
- delicate material for wrapping prepared pencils;
- catchy yarn;
- needle and thread.
Initially, the base for the rattle is prepared, focusing on the instructions for the correct creation of the product, consisting of capsules and a pencil.
For these purposes, a hole is made in the capsule, and it is important that the pencil fits there as tightly as possible. After this, the pencil is wrapped in material or padding polyester and sewn up to secure the fabric.
Tying is carried out in a circle, starting with a pencil, that is, the legs; you need to regularly try on the elements, putting them on the base. The upper part of the knitting should be sewn up. If there are additional accessories in the form of leaves and petals, they need to be knitted directly separately, carefully secured to the toy, using threads and a needle.
How to quickly and step by step make a rattle from scrap materials
The principle of creating a rattle from any available materials is quite simple - find a container and fill it with something rattling. But so that it doesn’t look boring, you need to decorate it beautifully: make it in the shape of different animals, take bright colors, interesting crumpled materials, all kinds of fillers, then one toy will ring in one way, and another will rattle in a completely different way. It all depends on your imagination, imagination and ability to combine seemingly banal and unremarkable things.
But they are ordinary for you. And for children everything is important - color, smell, sound, taste, tactile sensations - the world is filled with a lot of joyful emotions. While the little miracle is still able to be surprised by the ordinary, play along and make his best time in his life unforgettable!
Bracelet
When creating a bracelet with special Velcro, the main thing is to sew it correctly and also design the head of the decoration you like. Perhaps it will be a bud, a bow, or another part in which the toy capsule is placed. In this version it is a specially stylized head of a hare.
To sew such a bracelet, use the description for rattles with your own hands and take the following materials:
- What does a sword mean to a man?
A variety of engraver attachments for every taste and color
- A still life with roses will delight you longer than fresh flowers
- several types of material for bracelets and decor;
- small pieces of leather or small buttons with protruding eyes;
- Velcro;
- needle with thread. You are allowed to use a sewing machine to make the task easier;
- a few balls from a used rattle for falling asleep small objects;
- thick tape;
- padding polyester for head volume.
Simple DIY rattles
Many parents have probably noticed that children are not always interested in and quickly get bored with expensive, bright, cleverly designed toys. But sometimes an object that is completely unnecessary and has no value for us or very simple crafts will interest the child so much that it cannot be taken away. Maria Nikitina will share her experience of creating rattles with her own hands.
“Creative young mothers often ask themselves the question: “ How to make a rattle with your own hands?” " There are many options. If you don't know where to start, watch your baby. For example, our daughter suggested the idea for the first rattle herself. Her husband showed her a plastic bottle of vitamins. Our baby tried to shake it and liked the sound. They took the bottle away with difficulty through tears. After this, the bottle was emptied and they decided to make a toy.
For such a toy you need a plastic vitamin bottle (we took it from Complivit). Several large beads or dry peas. You can also take rice or buckwheat, but the sound will be quieter than from peas. You will also need Moment glue.
Removes the label from the bottle. Then wash the bottle and cap thoroughly with soap. After this, the bottle and cap must be dried. When they are dry you can add filler. After this, the outside of the bottle neck should be lubricated with glue and the cap should be screwed on tightly. Let the glue dry. If you do not lubricate the neck with glue, water will get inside when washing the toy (the filler may become damp). The toy is ready.
The baby will decide for himself how to play with such a rattle. Our daughter initially just shook the rattle. After some time, she began to roll it around the table and floor, and a little later the toy turned into a rodent.
For the second rattle toy you will need a small transparent plastic bottle with a screw cap, multi-colored plastic beads and seed beads, and water.
Peel off the label and wash the bottle and cap with laundry soap. It is better to choose beads of different colors and sizes, then the toy will be more interesting. Then pour beads and beads into the bottle and pour water. Enough water is needed so that the child can lift the toy. I took a 0.5 volume mineral water bottle. My daughter got the toy when she was 7 months old and at that time the bottle was filled 1/5 with water. There is no need to glue the lid on this toy. Firstly, water becomes cloudy over time and must be changed periodically. Secondly, the baby’s strength increases every day and the volume of water must be gradually increased.
With such a toy there can also be several options for games. It is interesting for a child to shake the toy and watch bubbles pop up and beads float. The baby can happily roll the bottle in front of him and crawl after it. It is also convenient for the child to chew on the bottle cap. With such a toy, the baby will be able to train his hands. The thickness of the bottle changes along its entire length, and the child learns to grab and hold an object with different diameters. These simple crafts can be done by anyone. Children really like them, and they don’t require any special expenses from parents.”
